Welcome to your Studienvertretung for materials science, polymer science!
Dear students,
we – your StV – are here to help you have a successful and enjoyable time studying at the Montanuniversität Leoben. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible support in all study-related matters.
We offer advice on all matters related to your studies and represent your interests in dealings with lecturers, the ÖH, and the curriculum commission. We actively work to improve the study conditions so that you can get the most out of your studies.

Mandatory Internship:
The curriculum for the MaWiTech bachelor’s degree includes a mandatory internship in industry worth 30 ECTS credits (equivalent to 4 months full-time). To receive credit, you must fill out an internship form and a report – both can be found here: Internship form.

The subsidy is only available to students currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program. After purchasing one of the books, just send us your receipt and the completed and signed reimbursement form from the ÖH Leoben. You can find the form here: Reimbursement Form

Safety Shoes:
During both the bachelor’s and master’s degree in Polymer Engineering, you’ll take part in internships where S3 safety shoes are mandatory. You can apply for a €20 reimbursement for these shoes from the student council.
“Elastomer Technology I” Exam
As the exam for “Elastomer Technology I” must be taken externally at the company Semperit, the student council for Polymer Engineering offers a travel cost reimbursement of €15.
