Dear Metallurgy Student,
We – Pia, Maxi and Matheo – are your student representatives for the metallurgy program. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible support and services throughout your studies and beyond.
We organize exciting lectures by professors and industry partners, mulled wine and spritzer stands for networking, hoodie and T-shirt campaigns, summer and Christmas parties – and much more! We represent your interests at the university, for example as members of the curriculum committee or other academic boards, and we’re also here for you if any problems come up during your studies.
Do you have an issue with a lecturer, feel that you’ve been treated unfairly, or want to share an idea or suggestion? Feel free to contact us anytime at
We also offer weekly consultation hours. You can find us on the first floor of the Study Center, where we’re happy to discuss academic concerns – or simply enjoy a relaxed coffee chat.
We also maintain a Google Drive with all relevant materials and lecture notes for the metallurgy program. Just send us a message, and we’ll be happy to send you the link.
To help metallurgy students connect more easily, we’ve created a WhatsApp group. You should have received the invitation link via email. If you haven’t or if you’re new, we’ll gladly send it to you again on request.
We also offer a small financial grant to support the purchase of textbooks from the list below. These include books on foundational subjects as well as specialized areas of metallurgy.
To receive the grant, please send us the completed form, the invoice, and proof of enrollment in the metallurgy program. Once we have reviewed all the documents, the reimbursement will be processed.
