The compatibility of studies and family is a priority concern at Leoben University of mining. Childcare plays a central role in this matter and is most often related to costs. Leoben University of Mining has been granting this financial support to employees since the last year. Now, it is planned to extend this kind of aid and to make it available for students of MUL as well. The allowance amounts to € 100 per month and child. The condition is that the child is living in the same household as the student and that it can be certified that the student is significantly involved in parenting and childcare. The allowance will be given until the entry of the child into nursery school, but maximum until the completion of the 3. year of life, depending on which of the two events may come first.

Students who are both employees at Leoben University of Mining may submit their application via the HR department of Leoben University of Mining (Contact person is Mr. Alfred Prade).

Additionally, for now the allowance is timely constrained until the end of February 2021.
