Gösser Kirtag
Description
Dieser „heimliche Feiertag" der Leobener gehört nicht nur zu den traditionellsten und am besten besuchten Jahrmärkten Österreichs, sondern auch zu den
Ältesten. Der Ursprung dürfte um das Jahr 1836 liegen, als Kaiser Ferdinand das Privileg erteilte, neben dem Viehmarkt in Göss auch einen Krämermarkt abzuhalten und zwar immer am Donnerstag nach dem ersten Sonntag im Oktober.

This "unofficial national day" of Leoben is not only one of the most traditional and the most visited fairs in Austria, but also the oldest. Over 400 traders offer goods of all kinds and also tcatering will not be missed. The merchand stands range from the main square to the entrance of the Gösser brewery.
Throughout the day there is an extensive programme on the two stages at the main square as well as in Göss.
