Overview of the procedures for the ÖH elections 2021

 

30.03.2021

Deadline for eligibility to vote. In order to be eligible to vote or stand for election, the ÖH fee for the summer semester 2021 must be paid in.

 

30.03. - 13.04.2021

Submission deadline for election proposals (incl. declarations of agreement and required declarations of support) for university representation.

30.03. - 22.04.2021

Submission period for candidatures for student representation.

31.03. - 11.05.2021

Deadline for requesting an election card. Only the University Representation (UV) and the Federal Representation (BV) can be elected by postal vote. The student representation can only be elected in person at the polling station at the university. If you have voted by postal vote, you cannot vote for the student representatives in the polling station at the university.

 

08.04. - 13.04.2021

it is possible to inspect the provisional electoral register on weekdays from 08:00 to 12:00 at the ÖH secretary's office or online using the citizen card/ mobile phone signature here. Please make an appointment in advance.

Deadlines for student representatives

 

30.03.2021 Deadline for voting eligibility

On this day, an admission or continuation registration must be available and the ÖH fee must have been paid in (note bank transfer, the amount must also be booked to the MUL account).

30.03.-22.04. Deadline for submission of candidatures

Submission to the Election Commission by letter, by means of a document with a qualified electronic signature to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by handing it in personally to the chair of the Commission (Mag. Lampl, Office of the Rectorate, Main Building, 1st floor). Annex 6 to the HSWO is to be used as the form. For each candidate, a confirmation of admission or re-registration to a degree programme is to be enclosed (must be confirmed by "Studien- und Lehrgänge"). At the moment, the submission can be done via the porter, the confirmation will be made afterwards via Studien- und Lehrgänge. For this purpose, please hand in the completed form, except for the confirmation of Studien- und Lehrgänge, in a closed envelope to the porter.

A registered letter is not required, but the candidate bears the risk of timely receipt.

31.03.-11.05. Deadline for applying for a voting card.

Only the National Representation (BV) and the University Representation (UV) can be elected by postal vote, the Student Representation cannot be elected. IMPORTANT: If you have voted by postal vote, you cannot vote for the student representatives at the MUL voting centre.

27.04. Last date for submitting improvements to candidatures.

Submission by letter, by a document with a qualified electronic signature or by personal handover to the chairperson of the commission. The date of receipt by the Election Commission is decisive. Notification of the elected:

The elected mandataries and student representatives shall be informed of their election by public notice at the same time as the election results are announced. The dates of the constituent meetings of the University Representation and the Student Representation shall also be announced at the same time as the election results are announced. There will be no separate notification by e-mail.

A separate meeting with Mag. Lampl will be held for each STV.

 

 

Postal voting

 

You can apply for your electoral card online and vote by postal vote. The deadline for the application is from 31.03. to 11.05.2021. You can also have your absentee card sent to you abroad.

Attention: The absentee card must be received and correctly filled in by the electoral commission in Vienna by 6 p.m. on 19 May 2021 at the latest!

Only the National Representation (BV) and the University Representation (UV) can be elected by postal vote, the Student Representation cannot be elected. IMPORTANT: If you have voted by postal vote, you cannot vote for the student representatives at the MUL voting centre.

If you have already applied for a postal voting card, but still want to vote for your student representative, you can only do so if you exchange ALL the documents sent to you with the postal voting card for voting papers at a voting centre. The enclosed declaration under oath must NOT be filled in yet.
